SVALBARD & ICELAND

Arctic Wildlife

The Arctic is one of my favourite places to photograph wildlife. Its vast landscapes, changing light and extreme conditions provide an extraordinary backdrop, but it is the wildlife and the challenge of finding it in such an immense environment that keeps drawing me back.

Encounters here can be unpredictable and often fleeting, which makes the opportunity to spend time observing an animal particularly special. This gallery brings together some of my favourite Arctic wildlife encounters, photographed predominantly in and around Svalbard.
