Summer Sunrise in Iceland

After an 9 hour delay to our outbound flight to Iceland; we drove through the night the 4 hours from Reykjavik airport to our first destination.  We should have been capturing this beautiful sun rise; the best forecasted day for the week we were there in front of the waterfall at Kirkjufell but instead we pulled over the side of the road and I rushed to get my camera gear out and find my tripod to capture this image.  One of the iconic sights of Iceland in the summer is the Lupine’s that grow everywhere so whilst not the image I was hoping for its something that captures Iceland for me and one of my favourite images from the trip.
