TYTO ALBABarn Owl Photography
Barn Owls have played a particularly important part in my wildlife photography and my wider interest in owl conservation. Many early starts and hours have been spent in the field watching and photographing these remarkable birds, learning their behaviour and using fieldcraft to capture natural moments with as little disturbance as possible.
My involvement extends beyond photography through the installation and monitoring of nest boxes, including a box at home which has provided a fascinating opportunity to observe a breeding pair and follow their progress through the season.
The gallery below brings together some of my favourite Barn Owl images, photographed ethically and without baiting.
