Long-Eared Owls are the one UK species of Owl that have alluded me.  I got a tip from someone id met on one of the Facebook photography groups about 3 LEO chicks that were showing well only an hour and a half away from me and he would happily take me to see them.  I had to be quick thought as they were close to fledging.  The only catch was these owls were in Guernsey.  I booked myself a flight and room in a hotel for a night and the following Saturday I was off.  I spent 24 hours on the island and was lucky not only to be able to photograph 3 chicks but also some barn owls as well.  Iā€™m incredibly grateful to Dan for showing me the island and these beautiful birds.
