History on Svalbard

Svalbard is a magical place but it has something of a dark past.  Walking around the beach’s reminders are left of the whaling that used to take place here many years ago.  Piles of bones bleached by the sun remain as a reminder and abandoned boats almost certainly used to support this industry from times gone by.
